“My first experience of acupuncture was when I was 7 years old. I was treated for strong headaches and blurry vision that modern medicine couldn´t help with. I still remember how the consultancy room looked like, and how wonderful it was suddenly to be free of pain and see clearly. I guess that experience stuck with me, since then I have seen acupuncture as a very normal and casual way of treating health.

“I come from Finland but have lived most of my adult life in Southern Spain. I started my professional journey with Chinese Medicine in Spain. When I was younger I didn´t have the patience to sit down and read, let alone think things like “you have to respect the process”. However, I was a fixed acupuncture customer with injuries and other common aches I was causing to myself with my impatience and somewhat hectic life.


Now, at this point in my journey, having seen some life with its joys and sorrows and having been able to slow down, I am in the right place helping others, and feeding my endless curiosity with the wonders of this ancient medicine.


When I am not working or studying, I do voluntary work in a donkey sanctuary, I sing in a choir and build things in my garden. I didn´t use to have a green thumb, but I have found two of them in my lovely home and working place in Mijas.”
