Techniques that I use

Acupuncture is the most known and mostly used technique, but I also use other Traditional Chinese medicine remedies. Every client and their situation is different. In addition to acupuncture we might use “Cupping” or “Moxibustion” at the consultancy. If I see you could benefit from herbal medicine, I will suggest it to you.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture involves the insertion of very thin needles at strategic points on the body. Stimulating certain points, and their combinations, balances the life force known as Qi.
In short, acupuncture tells the body what to do to heal itself.

Herbal Medicine

Herbal medicine aims to fix the root cause of health problems. As a simple example, if the TCM diagnosis shows that someone has “Cold” in their body, we use warming herbs. A formula is a combination of different herbs, and is tailored to each person’s situation.

Moxibustion

Mugwort, or artemisia, is a flowering plant in the daisy family. Mugwort leaves are dried and ground into small sticks or cones called moxa, which are then lighted and used to warm points on the body. It is commonly used in cases of “Cold” to warm, or in “Insufficiency” to tonify.

Cupping

Cupping stimulates the movement of Qi, and in this way increases blood flow and loosens the fascia (connective tissue). Depending on what is needed, cups can be placed in one position, or moved around with the suction on.

Consultancy

My consultancy is at my home, in a space that is specifically designated to my work. It is a tranquil environment, surrounded by nature. This is the “Dragon´s Nest” with the best possible flow and ambiance.

Because my home is also a private area, appointments must be pre-booked. If you arrive early, there is plenty of room to wait and enjoy the views over the valley all the way to the sea. On a clear day you can even see Africa!
